            MOSAIC MEN’S MINISTRY
Mosaic’s Men’s Ministry provides community and care that is often lacking for men facing unplanned pregnancies. Through this program, men meet one-on-one with their male advocates, receive education, and work towards becoming the best people, partners, and fathers they can be.
 JALEN’S STORY
When Jalen came to Mosaic, his male advocate could see on his face that he was unhappy with his life.
Jobless and navigating a rocky relationship with his girlfriend, Jalen wasn’t ready for the news that they were expecting a baby. His life was complicated, but Jalen’s advocate was determined to be there for him in any way he could.
Ten months after that first meeting, Jalen is a new person. He made the decision to accept Jesus into his heart and has been transformed! He has a job and volunteers at his church helping other people work through difficult periods of unemployment. He’s taking classes at a community college and working with the mother of his baby on how to co- parent. Although they’re not together anymore, now Jesus is at the center of their interactions and the way they’re raising their son.
“The man who accepted Jesus is a different man than I met last year,” Jalen’s advocate reflected. It’s a spiritual transformation that is abundantly apparent in his physical presence. And it’s because of the Holy Spirit in his heart.
Ten months later, Jalen is a new person. He made the decision to accept Jesus into his heart, and has been transformed!

ERIC’S STORY
Eric and his girlfriend were overjoyed when they found out she was pregnant. They came to Mosaic for material help as they eagerly awaited the birth
of their child. Eric decided at the last minute to meet with a male advocate—despite thinking he didn’t need to talk about anything.
But what happened in that counseling room was a beautiful surprise. Eric found himself talking about his childhood trauma and past struggles with drug addiction—both things that made him nervous to be a father.
Over a period of four months, Eric continued meeting with his male mentor. Despite having worked on the issues in his past, he still needed someone to lean on, someone to talk to and show him they cared about him. Through these meetings, he experienced new encouragement and conviction about how to be a better partner and father. He decided that he wanted to grow in his relationship with Jesus—and encourage his girlfriend in her spiritual growth, too.
Eric and his girlfriend came to Mosaic’s 2023 Gala with their baby boy. He wanted to show his support and gratitude for the ministry that had given him something he never knew he needed. Eric told Mosaic’s staff that he considered his male advocate to be a father figure for him.
