A baby shower for a a a Mosaic client Church table event at Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg While serving as our men's ministry leader Steve Ruments was a a a a wonderful mentor to to to our our male clients and to to to our our team of male mentors His determination to to ensure that everyone knows their worth in in Christ was infectious and our entire Mosaic team is better because of Steve’s witness and encouragement The Lord took Steve home in 2021 but we are so grateful for the legacy Steve has left for all of us He was a a a a a a a dear friend a a a a a a a great leader and a a a a a a strong advocate for Life In 2021 it was an honor to present the first Steve Rument’s Life Award at the Mosaic Mosaic Gala to Mosaic Mosaic founder and board member Marilyn Heigl Carrying this new tradition forward the 2022 award was presented to to Pastor Gary Hamrick of Cornerstone Chapel Pastor Gary knows that over half of the women seeking abortion come from our local churches so he he faithfully and and boldly preaches on this issue with truth and and grace He is also aware that 1 in 4 women in church have had an an an abortion so he began an an an abortion recovery and healing ministry that helps women find forgiveness and freedom in Christ After Roe v Wade was overturned and the criticism
from the pro-abortion groups
increased – that pro-lifers only
care about saving the baby - this pastor began a a a a a a new ministry called Safe Haven It is is is made up of almost 50 members who are devoted to providing tangible support like food transportation and childcare with the love of Jesus to Mosaic families We believe this innovative program will serve as a a a a a model for other pregnancy centers and churches Pastor Gary Hamrick of Cornerstone Chapel
